What's new in AzureScan
The changes in every AzureScan release, newest first.
Version 1.1
- New
Why your spend changed
A new panel compares the last two full months and explains every change per resource: new or deleted resources, VMs that were resized or stopped, more or less usage, a different price per unit, or simply a shorter or longer month. Changes that come from an implemented AzureScan action are marked.
- Improved
Privacy: nothing loaded from other servers
The portal now serves its own fonts, so your browser no longer contacts Google when you open it. A new cookie statement on azurescan.eu lists exactly what the website and the portal store: only what is needed to keep you signed in, no tracking.
- New
Release notes
See what changed in every release under What's new, in the portal and on azurescan.eu. After each release, a short notice shows the changes the next time you sign in.
Version 1.0
- New
Savings across six areas
VM rightsizing, idle and stopped VMs, older VM generations, storage (file share quotas and performance, disk tiers, redundancy, lifecycle policies, unattached disks, snapshots older than 90 days), networking (unused public IP addresses, idle load balancers, gateways), platform services (empty App Service plans, Log Analytics retention and commitment tiers), Hybrid Benefit and reservations.
- New
Decide per resource
Every finding lists the individual resources with their cost and saving. Approve or dismiss each one, with a reason, and the totals follow your decisions.
- New
Savings tracker
Follow what was implemented, by whom, and what each change saved on your bill, measured 30 days after the change.
- New
Built for MSPs
MSPs get their own team with administrators and consultants, see only their own clients, and get a monthly report of the clients they onboarded. One AzureScan, no separate installation per MSP.
- New
Client portal in Dutch and English
Clients read their assessment report and savings tracker in their own language.
- New
Hosted in Belgium
AzureScan runs in the Azure Belgium Central region, with read-only access to your tenant that you can revoke at any time.
