Website (www.azurescan.eu)
The website sets no cookies and uses no advertising networks or embedded third-party content. The fonts come from our own server too. Like any website, our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and prevent abuse.
To understand how the website is used, we count visits with Umami, open-source software that we host ourselves in our Azure environment in Belgium. Umami uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records which pages are viewed, the country (derived from your IP address, which itself is not stored), the website or campaign you came from, the type of device and browser, and how long a visit lasts. This data is anonymous: we cannot recognise you with it, not even on a later visit, and it is not shared with third parties.
The contact form and the partner form are the only places where the website receives details from you. When you send a form, your details pass through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), an external service that e-mails them to us. FormSubmit's own terms apply on its pages. We use these details only to reply to your message.
Portal (dashboard.azurescan.eu)
The portal only uses what is strictly necessary to sign you in securely, plus two preferences you set yourself:
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
AppServiceAuthSession | Keeps you signed in to AzureScan (cookie). | Until you sign out or close your browser |
Nonce | Protects the sign-in (cookie). | Only during sign-in |
azurescan.lang | Remembers the language you chose (local storage in your browser). | Until you clear it |
azurescan.seenRelease | Remembers which release notes you have read (local storage). We also keep this with your account, so the notice only comes back with the next release, on every device. | Until you clear it |
You sign in with your own work account through Microsoft. On Microsoft's sign-in page (login.microsoftonline.com), Microsoft's cookies and privacy statement apply.
The portal uses no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, and loads nothing from external servers. Local storage stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Why you see no cookie banner
Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you ask for, and preferences you set yourself, need no consent. We do owe you this information, on this page. If we ever start using anything else, we will ask for your consent first.
Clearing or blocking cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Without the sign-in cookie you can't use the portal; the website works as usual.
